Pros
This is the fifth macbook case i've bought from amazon. It works for seven years. Not only is it durable, it also fits perfectly and is super cute.
The top cover fits very snug, very secure. The bottom half seems to slip a bit, even though the added latches are in place. Easy to install but complicated to take off.
Cons
If you are looking for a durable case, this is not the one for you. Horrible policy. Cheaply made; i'm dissatisfied.
Debris collects inside of the case, making it difficult to clean out. Back feet of bottom of case have no rubberized coating on them. Tension to monitor causes laptop to open and close in jerky movements.

The way that mbp cools down is something of a two part method

One is that it uses the aluminum body as a heatsinkthis is why you should only really use it on a flat and hard surface the second part is that it pulls air through the space between the keys and pushes it out the crack under the screen at the back of the computer

They keyboard cover basically prevents air from following this path causing a very hot computer
