Having an ankle strap makes them more stable than a regular flip flop and i love the flexibility of the material far superior to similar brands

Do be careful though i have owned a pair of ipanemas in the past and after a couple of years of slipping them on and off the plastic did finally snap around the ankle to be expected but inspect your sandals after the first year or so
