Pros

The cheapest, fastest, easiest and most portable way to start astrophotography. A step up from the skytracker. Excelente como montura ligera para viajes y para astrofotografia.

It is the most compact, best bang for the buck little mount i have ever owned. The quality is good and worth every cent. But does work, but a lot to lug around.

A heavy sturdy tripod is mandatory! I use a field tripod that came with a meade 5 reflector telescope i got used last year. See attached milky way photo.

Easy to polar align and incredibly dependable so far. Uses a phone or tablet app (with gps) to set the alignment to perfection. Has very accurate guiding capabilities, dependent on the accuracy of the polar alignment of course. Great value for money a...  Read More

Cons

Product is mislabeled as the much less expensive skytracker pro. Item isn't even recognized by computer as a camera- just an unknown usb device.

If this unit matches the quality and performance of other ioptron products i will be a life long customer

I have been very impressed with the quality of the ioptron products

I ended up keeping the units with the polar scope and returning the ones with the ipolar

I went with the photo kit which only adds a few bucks to the cost

The weight itself is 25 thats pretty steep and the only place i found it wanted 35 shipping

I understand it could get bumped out of alignment during shipping but if its that delicate the design is flawed

Competitiveness

It is easy to use a qality product and well engineered

Added a svbony 30mm guide scope and a zwo120mini and have been getting 5 minute tracked shots easily

I was using an 11mm lens with 2 minute exposure time

I have another ioptron mount and it works great so thought this would be a good choice
