The mony spent on it is wery well used. One last hint about this component.
This ion ied01 set meets the immediate need perfectly. All you need is a throne or chair. Comes with an excellent drum machine which has tons of options.
Cons
It appears to be a limitation of the midi controller. Midi control is buggy and flawed, _vide infra_. This only good for bangin on for fun.
The bar that holds the * for three of the pads have no hold or sort of traction. The double triggering of the kick drum is simply atrocious. The kit has a loose, cheap feel to it (to be expected from the price) i have to constantly tighten up the wing... Read More

Another way ive gotten around this is to use the pa outputs and play my ipod through my computer or a stereo
Also someone on the web has made a solution for it but i believe it would void the warrenty so im not going to attempt it yet
If you want something that is perfect right out of the box then i would say look elsewhere

I bought this set for my sons 9th bday and paid 150 for them at a store
No double drum beat problems with our footpad that were mentioned in many previous reviews
Its actually a rebadged alesis sr16 which costs 150 by itself

Double triggering of foot pedals i found this to be caused by a slight alteration of the pressure exerted on the pedal

They are very sensitive so as long as you have a very solid hold it would doudble trigger

Pads moving this is to me the worst aspect of the set

The pads will unadjust themselves pretty frequently so they require constant tightening
