It has the boot partition and an encrypted (dm-crypt) partition. Connected the enclosure to a win7 laptop and used disk manager toinitialize with gpt and ntfs.

Installed a new 64g mydigitalssd and it wasnt initially seen either same issues the drive was seen devsdi but no partitions
The onenclosure port is usbc no updown with a reasonably thick usb3 cable

Tried a 128g mydigitalssd with mbr partitioning and the drive device devsdf is seen but no partitions were seen using any of the normal tools parted gparted lsblk or even fdisk not safe on gpt

Probably the ssd came completely empty of format zero which might have confused the electronics i have doubts about that

Win7 saw it as did linux so it appears that having a completely blank ssd without a format selected was the issue
