However a couple of heavy duty barrel bolts would be better because i know this because i’m a teacher when there is a sudden lockdown announcement that expensive device picture here may be hard to find and the substitue teacher may not know about it

It could be subject to falling off the scissor closer due to vibration if an intruder was to repeatedly and quickly pull and release the door

It is also only as strong as the screws that attach the scissor closer to the door weak or shallow screws could be easily pulled free and render the device ineffective

However in an intruder situations even a few seconds matter

Unless a specific target of the intruder was in my room i believe they would give up on my door before the device was defeated and look for a softer target elsewhere
