Pros & Cons
Pros
A well told tale. A real page turner. The only criticism i have is that the author puts in these details about things like speed, acceleration, *, etc; but they don’t make any sense.
Kind of stargate sg1 meets starship troopers. They don't just microwave the new tech into the newest warship, rather, they show how that new tech will be integrated into the next generation of warships.
The action was fast paced and intense. Things begin to move quickly once the formation is ironed out! The adventure rolls on, lots of the good guys trying to win the day.
Combat sequences are both realistic and a roller coaster. From high level political maneuvers, to grunt-level tactics, this book has it all. I love how in one scene we’re learning about the challenges facing the shipyards and trying to keep up with th... Read More

Cons
Throughout the entirety of this book blaster fire is referred to as laser bolts. With that description blasters sound like either a precursor plasma weapon or a burst particle beam weapon. It is details like this that absolutely ruin the immersion and... Read More

The game was called 34master of orion34 and it had a small selection of different alien races and human and each race had its own advantages and disadvantages one race reproduced really fast another was able to settle on any planet they wanted another robotic race had a high production rate due to automation humans were good at negotiating anyways the goal of the game was to either be elected as the emperor by having the majority vote for you or conquer all the other races

The plot of this series is something that i would expect to be a precursor to the game or even the book be turned in to a movie based on a video game much like doom or halo

The thing about this book series is it does have a class of ships called orion so it could be that the author knows of this game
