Very pleased with this filter. It has plenty of power to filter water and run an automatic vacuum. Easy to hook up and cleared the water in about a week & easy to maintain. Outweigh the original paper filter pump.

Cons

Who keeps packaging for that long when a product has good ratings, and after you buy it. The dirty water being * out was coming right back out through the port into the pool. After about 3 days, it stops pumping because it has to be cleaned.

There is a warranty but you have to disassemble the pump. Seller is less than stellar, voicing at 1st they could replace it under my warranty.

The leaf trap cover (part 11823) is poorly designed and will eventually start developing micro cracks. The other reviewer who pointed this out is right! It does not. To start, it leaks everywhere.

No way to get in touch with anyone about this defective pump. Will return this one and find hopefully something else. Amazon says to contact manufacturer and manufacturer says not our problem since purchased thru amazon.
