I havent try rendering advanced material with maya yet but it only take less than 30 sec to render a 540000 faces small scene with vray in 3dsmax

I only can tell you it is fast but you have to try by yourself to know how fast it exactly is because the performance of cpu also affected by other hardwares in your computer and the different project reflects different performance

I can run multiple vms in the background and run unraid on a single logical core pair leaving 9 logical core pairs for vms and dockers
