The tool cause it did not crimp shrink wrap ends only does the plastic ends see photosi know it is hard to get a universal tool however with some adjustments to this tool it could do both

The challenge is the that the shrink wrap ends are not as thick as plastic so when crimping there is more play in the jaws so it does not crimp down far enough

Another thing is the width of the tools jaws i found that with shrink wrap ends they are shorter where the wire inserts to crimp than the plastic ones

This causes a bit of mangle to the wire connector see picif using plastic ends and have your own shrink wrap material doing a two step process will be great

If using marine style shrink wrap mainly you might want to find a different one maybe a manual not ratchet so you can really bear down on it more than the ratchet ones will
