Pros

This motion detector is much easier to setup and configure than the old motion detectors. Works flawlessly with my porch light to automatically turn on the porch light whenever someone is at the door. Works well with insteon lamplinc and isy994.

The range is phenomenal, and battery life is pretty decent as well. The battery is not much of an issue, though, because it is readily available on amazon. These use high quality and higher capacity lithium batteries and work better.

Size makes it ideal for pretty much anywhere, very inconspicuous. Very compact and unobtrusive. Easy to set up with the hub.

Cons

Buyer beware. Prepare yourself for great frustration.

It takes an eternity for the system to communicate with the remote devices. The info is scarce to non-existent. The software alerts are very limited.

Competitiveness

In all candor i was trying to replace them with zwave devices but the range and aesthetic just cant be beat

I have a mixture of insteon and zwave devices in my home

They use inconvenient 9v batteries and were hard to set up

Would give this little device a 5star but the initial configuration was a legit pain
