The hub requires you to open a port on your router to allow an external communication into your local area network

If youve transitioned from x10 to insteon this is the next step it will also support x10 modules in case you havent converted everything though the x10 carrier signal strength isnt very great

The only visible control is a colorchanging led on the left corner

Suffice to say it will probably not blend in with your router which is probably black or dark grey
