Pros
Nowadays though the mixes are much better and most dissolve well enough in water. When i mix in a brut trash bucket and use a powerhead to mix it clears in good time.
Don't hesitate, if you have trouble with your system, it isn't the reef crystals. Instant ocean has everything i need in it, so i don't even bother with reactors and dosers. This brand is my go to for mixing saltwater for marine aquariums.
Cons
This salt is dangerous for a reef tank. It makes accurate measuring and mixing way more time consuming and difficult than it needs to be.
The salt in the four plastic bags, within the cardboard box, is as hard as a rock. Appears moisture got into the plastic bags causing the salt to solidify!
Some of the products sold on amazon at such a low cost are due to * like this (discounted because it does not conform to specs). Do not let the low price fool you.

Not one to buy the hype although at times get lured by it but in the end just go with what works and ive been using instant ocean since the mid 80s
