This is a top of the line badger model with stainless steel parts in the grind chamber (verified) this one (badger 1 hp) comes with a 7 year warranty. It's actually a surprise to me that they last as long as they do.

Originally we installed the badger 5 the 12 hp model and its grind plate failed two years after the warranty expired

The second one a badger 5xp the 34 hp model lasted for nearly 7 years 4 years after the warranty expired the grinding plate started to rust through letting large food particles through potentially clogging the drain
