    The fan is not strong enough to pull in any insects that happen to get close to it, the light doesn't seem to attract anything.

    When i turned this item on i was a little hesitant to get myself too excited because it does not seem anything like the loud humming black light mosquito traps one tends to see in florida.

    So, this item may not be a massive powerful black light that makes a horrific loud snap, crackle and/or pop sound when a bug meets it's fate to one of those machines.

    I love it, it's very light and not nearly as dangerous as those other loud bug traps that are traditionally used.

    I plug it right next to my back door, where most people come in and out of the house, it's hung above the door inside and when i bring it outside i immediately plug it into an extention cord.
