Your capture wont work with vlc there are far too many hoops to jump through to get this to even show you a single frame you wont be able to use inogenis own simple viewer and sooner or later youll resign yourself to capturing video with ffmpeg a free program that knows how to capture video streams

First of all id say the inogeni works about half of the time meaning that 50 of the time youre getting a video signal that ffmpeg can work with 50 of the time youre not and your ffmpeg will just be getting the audio stream and i have no idea why basically i have to restart my computer and try again

But what kills the whole affair isnt this its the fact that the inogeni device does absolutely no encoding of any sort
