I was worried at first because i tried using another adapter that didnt have the converter function built into the wiring so it was literally a direct connection from the oldstyle keyboard to a usb and didnt work for me

The sample i tested was black not white like the one pictured

Only one keyboard didnt work an old 84key ibm model f lots of false function or window key codes generated yet that keyboard has no windows keys

The problem may have been excessive power consumption because of the very old technology or the signals may have been ttl and not pulled up enough for the cmos ports used in newer computers but much more importantly the famous 101key ibm model m does work
