The only negative is that it feels cheap. Works as advertised. Just use it often during the first couple of weeks checking temps.

Cons

It consistently reads 1-2 degrees colder than other “medical” thermometers. This thing reads 96/97, which would mean the onset of hypothermia. Took her to the urgent care and had fever of 104.

There's no way to calibrate it so it's basically junk.
