Needed to add a strap to keep from swinging in wind and falling as it only has a standard picture hanging style attachment on upper back and the wind catches it easily

Since back is exposed to sun rigged a light out door fabric cover so temp would read accurately and thermometer was protected from direct sun exposure

Of course a bimetallic thermometer is off by many degrees when the sun is shining directly on the black thermometer mechanism
