When you unbox it you can see user manual timer 2 hose fittings image attachedit has set time to set the particular time to start duration of the water to supply and frequency per day so based upon the climatic condition you can plan everything ahead so that you wont spend much time on water the plantsmain advantage is it utilizes only 2 aa battery and also the battery insertion design doesnt allow any water getting inside it
