Ive found that like other cases of this design with phones too it can sometimes switch off the screen if the front cover is folded fully to the back of the device covering the lens

Update 1 from googling ive discovered that this turning off of the screen not device shutdown is a common problem with many brands of smart covers automatic switchoff when you close the case including official covers

It seems that its down to the magnet in the front cover and happens when you fold it fully to the back of the case

Update 2 ive found that the problem described above can be effectively solved by folding the first or edge segment of the cover inwards so that it doesnt cover the camera lens

A really good case for the samsung tab s5e nice fit all round all cut outs in the correct place and at a good price what more could you want
