This lamp socket has the locking socket base so you cant twist it open and rewire it but obviously its not completely lock tight

This is a bar lamp so it is much smaller than a hanging light for over a kitchen table

It gives off a warm color that certainly isnt bright enough for task lighting but on the flip side its the kind of light you could forget about and leave on all night and it will not disturb any light sleepers nearby with glare

So if you have an 8foot ceiling this is going to hang down to around 6 feet
