During the colder months in new york the unit is very drafty making the entire house very cold and resulting in high heating bills

The bulky bottom edge due to the elastic and gathered fabric is difficult to get under the window units i have two which are nearly flush with the window ledge

The cover slides over the grille and stays in place by elastic sewn in around the outer edges
