After new labour failed and the banks collapsed the promise of the 21st century feels pretty much like the sourness of the end of the last.

Good album, not my favourite radiohead album.

I also loved a moon shaped pool and that is much newer, but radiohead in my opinion have had their ups (ok computer, amnesiac, the bends) their ok albums (kid a, pablo honey,) and those like hail to the thief that is weak.

It sounds great and amazon was very good about the return process.

Everything good about '15 step' is largely absent from what remains, there are a few other decent tracks : 'bodysnatchers', 'nude' and 'weird fishes/arpeggi', but as they are also at the start of the album it doesn't help with that, for me, downward-gradient impression.

The other thing i noticed were signs of 'repetition'/similarity amongst some tracks on this album with near-'reprises', not necessarily a bad thing as i liked the 'first' tracks of course, of 'bodysnatchers' and 'nude' courtesy of the later 'jigsaw falling into place' and 'house of cards' respectively.

But, if somehow 'ok computer' has passed you by, then now's the time to correct the oversight for a far more rewarding experience; either with the original album, or the recent 20th anniversary release.

When i got this album i thought they couldn't top in rainbows (my second favorite album) but they came tantalizingly close with this masterpiece.
