The pestle is a little short but not terribly difficult to use.
Does a great job in preparing your guacamole. The weight of it really helps. Cleans off with running water and a quick paper towel scrub.
Cons
Trying to grind raw garlic resulted in a grey, grainy paste. Not only is it still dusty, but it's so deeply ridged, i'm not certain it will ever season. There's no way i can possible use this for fear of chipping off rock into whatever it is i'm grind... Read More
The sides of the bowl are too shallow/wide, and when you try to mash, everything goes up the side and out the bowl. This is like decoration now. Returned for a full refund.

When you make guacamole this way you really get the flavor of the ingredients out because youre smashing the juices and flavors out instead of just mixing them in a bowl

Im assuming if you have a huge hand then the pestle might be slightly more difficult to hang on to use long term

If you are serving 20 people the mortar wont be big enough but for a handful of people it should be large enough
