Small area cooks your food quickly. Wonderful for chili, stews etc. Soups from scratch using potatoes/carrots take about 8 hours to cook on low when veg is diced small to medium.

We have larger slow cooker but had a need for a smaller cooker one to hold just a little and that would not take up a lot of counter space
