It is *not* backlit, but that’s not a big deal, and i’d imagine it would be a big battery drain. Button color is great for nighttime. There is a button in the middle specifically to activate the assistant on your phone.
Exterior rotating volume dial is pure genius. Has a volume ring dail as well. I found if i messed with the placement, this was not a significant issue usually.

F7 has a function to customize * on steering wheel controls, but they don't allow this feature to work with their own steering wheel remote unit. The button are what they are and you can't customize at all. Waste of money and serious waste of time ins... Read More

I didnt attach it to my steering wheel instead i opted to use the adhesive to attach it to the center console where its out of sight but easy to reach

I think the volume bezel is too easy to move as ive accidentally changed the volume when ive changed hand positions
