Pros

The scalloped serrations of this knife are very sharp and work well. It breaks through crusty bread well, so long as you use light back and forth pressure first, until you break through the crust and the serrations start to grab, then proceed with nor...  Read More

The knife is very solid and comes in a nice lined case for storage, but we don't use it, as our knife drawer has a slotted wooden insert. It is also heavy enough to feel solid in my grip.

This knife is awesome! I find this knife to work very well. Highly recommend. Everyone loves it.

Cons

It generates a lot of crumbs. I have to squish my bread so hard to even get this knife to * the crust.

It looks beatiful but is too slick. This eliminates any pleasure from having this new bread knife. Am super sad they did not consider adding texture to the handle to support petite ladies like myself what are not butch and muscular. Didn't compare to ...  Read More

At first i didnt think this knife would really do the job compared to my other bread knife that i got from the county fair many years ago

But i wanted to try a new knife one that had more heft and would be able to cut the bottom crust of homemade sourdough bread

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

With this new knife the first cut into the bread has to be very careful

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You have to start off gently and very light

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I made the mistake of kind of hitting it a bit too fast and hard and the knife skipped off of the bread and cut my finger

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

But i went to cut another piece and cut different finger deeper

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Then i try to third time and cut another finger down to the bone

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Eventually realized i needed to back off and make the first few cutting motions as delicate as possible
