Without a manual switch the unit will send analog audio from the appropriate input when cables are plugged in to both the digital coax and the toslink inputs simultaneously

However note the toslink input has priority so for instance if the toslink input is connected to an apple tv output the apple tv unit must be turned off to enable the digital coax input path
