Pros
The trivet is permanently on my front burner. This quickly heats milk for our cafe lattes. We use it with our aluminum espresso maker and it works very well.
Cons
It is effective at diffusing the heat but the metal handle becomes very hot. Had to throw it away.

Its not really a trivet but will serve as one for small pans and teapots though its too small for larger pots and pans

Unfortunately all our pans burn and the pressure cooker loses far too much liquid

Should state first that i use it with my electric range which has coiled heating elements

So the temperature will be moderated and no hot spots on the thinner bottomed pots and pans
