Pros

The battery replacement is pretty straightforward. It is easy to reset to zero if it comes out of adjustment.

Display is large and easy to read. Converts between mm fractions and decimals on the fly. Repeatable readings. Useful for determining wrench size for a given bolt or size of a particular drill bit.



Cons

Poorly designed and molded plastic components allow the battery door to pop off. This is made worse by a poorly designed ingress-protection seal. After replacing the battery the compartment now won’t close enough to stay powered.

If you drop the sharp tips on hard surfaces the tips of the caliper jaws can bend inward making it so that you cant get an accurate zero

At 30 it appears to be accurate and it remembers where the digital slide is at when the power shuts off


For 29 for the 434 model a surprisingly good tool for woodworking


I couldn’t justify spending 75 200 for building guitars
