Love this 4” square, it is truly squared. The fit and finish is superb. They are fantastic.

Brass stair gauge * slide on an tighten nicely with leaving much of a mark. It has a very solid heft to it. Accurate and feels solidly made.

Markings are clear and easily readable with no glare. Holes to scribe, nice legible measurements.

These bench squares rival anything woodpeckers et al have to offer at an affordable price. This seven inch size is a bit larger than woodpecker's 6 square. I really like the slightly longer length so it reaches across a 4 board, much nicer feel.
