The drain bowl on those would pop off if you put too much pressure on the primer bulb

When the collected water apeaers in the see through bowl you simply drain it out and the water never enters the engines fuel system

Fuel flow is down center tube as reservoir fills up it then passes through pleated filter element supposedly squeezing out water i havent witnessed water collection yet to confirm
