Pairing is simple with the smart bluetooth setup. Bluetooth feature is a bit gimmicky, but i find it nice to follow the progress of my oven roast on my tablet while i relax in the living room. Terrific iphone app.

Cons

Have to be careful not to crimp wires in oven door. Very limited can't scale graphs, or otherwise change the look. You now have to use weber’s igrill app not the idevices connect one.

The other remote thermometer didnt work out but this idevice was highly recommended by americas test kitchen and we agree

Works great i have seen the same thermometer with a different brand name identical on sale for more than the cost of this one

Used one prong to monitor the heat inside bbq and the other to monitor the meat itself
