We had a new washing machine installed and the installers put the washing machine on top of the cord from the old flood detector and in front of the unit with the batteries

So far in the first 3 months its worked fine it hasnt had a reason to go off though knock on wood it did go off one time randomly not sure why

The suction does not stay and the sensor would float to the top before being submerged
