I have some old aluminum wiring from the 60s and would have problems with the outlets every now and then i tried using regular connectors but they didnt work very well i have had no issues theres at all

As for the electrician who used wire nuts for high current appliances is a no no

Or you can use brass lugs and motor rubber electric tape
