Unfortunately the slim dvd drive i was planning to install in this item has an apparently larger than normal front faceplate which doesnt allow it to fit flush in this item

Had a maximum frontback dimension been provided i might have avoided this issue

The one big problem with this item as others have mentioned is that its a really tight fit to get the slim drive installed such that modifications have to be made

Its a good thing some appropriate screws are provided because the drive is now secured anyway
