Bought 2 of these for my media server. Best cage to maximize disk space on the twelve hundred. If you are swapping out both 3 1/2 drives, and 2 1/ 2 drives, this unit is perfect.

The 7200rpm drives maintain a 46c temp while my 5400rpm wd greens were getting 42c. This is in contrast to something like a node 304 that i'm moving from which can keep the drives at a chilly ~30c even at high loads.



Cons

Before i got my fatcage today i was worried about airflow in this nanoxia case over the drives i would be putting inside the fatcage


I bought a quitter fan along with this hard drive enclosure but it is not the loudnes imho that is the problem
