The product itself is well packaged and seems well constructed. The plastic material feels a little flimsy but it does the job. It is hard plastic and should hold up well as long as your not constantly moving it throughout its life.

Slimline blu-ray fit snugly, yet easily into this mounting bracket in a small form factor htpc. Because it is soft plastic, the vibration sounds from the blu-ray burner are much quieter than i suspect they otherwise would be.

The unit is made out of plastic, plastic is an insulator. Hdd the locking mechanism cannot be used. The cover simply slides into slots and sits there loosely - there should be a retention mechanism.
