Volume can be turned down/up via the small trimmer on the circuit board, next to the on/off button cables. The volume adjustment needs a very small screwdriver but has good range.

Device works as advertised. Comes with a barcode to scan to get the user manual. If done cleanly, i think this would still fit most altoid style builds.
