The hood fastens comfortably and will definitely keep the rain out. It's long, waterproof and it's great quality. It’s a bit large in the shoulders, but doable.

Comes in a large turquoise pouch trimmed with orange that has velcro closure and there's a wrist strap to carry the pouch. Has a yellow zipper which contrasts nicely with theturquoise coat color and also has snaps.

The coat is heavy thick fabric, mesh lining, between my knees and ankles, nicely finished and sewn. The reflective strips on front and back are a great safety feature during police patrols and assisting motorist at night.

We live in the wettest place in the united states so this coat was a must. He is 5'9 and the coat comes just bellow his calves. The coat runs small so you might want to get 1 or 2 size up.
