Pros & Cons
Pros
It's much cheaper than replacing the entire fixture. I have a system that had been in the ground for over 15 years and wanted to add newer lights and replace what was there.
Easy to install, far superior to the original malibu light connections. Love these over the old clip on style. Great reuse factor.
Easy to install, can be used for thicker wires. Thicker landscape wire takes a little bit of manipulation to get it * down. The parts are highly resistant to damage.
Couple notations of interest. Have come to really appreciate these connectors. Love this type of connector. You will not be disappointed.
Cons
The piercing point is not sharp enough to easily pierce the tough insulation of the supply line. The threads of the cap stripping prior to being able to exert enough force to cause the point to pierce through. Threads on the locking barrels will not t... Read More

This concept is nice but the structural part of it is a little flimsythe outdoor cables are very tough to penetrate and by screwing in the needle won’t do it
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The threads are not strong enough to do that
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
So you have to peel the insulation a bit so that the needle makes contact with the wire and then screw it inremember to cover it with waterproof liquid tape or splicing tape because the humidity will get to it in no time

Personally after using the single connectors and the fastlock 2 duel connectors i like the duel connectors better
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
They use a soft plastic that will strip pretty easy if you hand tighten them too much
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Occasionally the pointed contact would slide off the wire and not penetrate due to the soft plastic
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
So when you tighten the bottom part of the connection watch to make sure the point is centered on the wire insulation then dont overtighten

Also harder to use on the larger gage cable
