The wife uses this every day and it does an excellent job of retaining ice. Ice lasts a very long time in this cup--even after refills of already-refrigerated-beverages. This cup holds ice till next day even after several liquid drink refills.

The coating on the tumbler is almost sandpapery in quality. The rougher coating helps keep a better grip. The paint is thick, heavy duty, and has a texture that helps your grip.
Cons
It keeps warm things warm, and cold things cold, but the lid allows for liquids to be leaked out very easily. It is not good if traveling.

I filled with ice and tea initially then refilled 6 times with refrigerator water over about 8 hours time still using original ice

There must be a whay to gasket the sliding opening to prevent this as it can get quite messy

The top of the mug is very similar to the yeti it has a tight seal but what sets it apart is that it has a sliding openclose on the lid

I saw that one of the other reviewers noted that his top leaked mine most certainly does not but in the event that was to happen you can buy a replacement lid

However i just broke one of the little tabs thats holds the sliding thing that covers this sip hole
