I wiped out the pan and reasoned it again on the stove top before putting it away

When you heat it up the bottom does round out slightly so the contact area is minimal

When you oil the pan you need to work hard to wipe out as much oil as you can the layer of oil left before you season the pan shouldnt even be visible
