As others have pointed out the rounded bottom presents a problem for most cups since it makes them very unstable and apt to fall over

Then slide it down about 14 inch so it overhangs the bottom a bit

For cold drinks cups stay dry in the hand and do not cause moisture to collect in car cup holders
