I will update if they fail in the near future given that the oem coils and plugs lasted 100k miles and the spark plugs i used as replacements were also oem while these are not

The originals were failing at only 50k miles causing the dreaded etc failsafe mode

While this engine is overall an excellent well performing engine when properly maintained and was groundbreaking in certain respects it is not without certain quirks and flaws that owners should be aware of as these result in some of the more common maintenance and repair issues

Upon coil and plug removal technicians often found engine oil andor moisture in the plug bores

The root cause was a faulty design on the valve cover gasket andor a faultyimproperly sealed gasket on the coilplug covers

All years of these engines are also susceptible to fouling spark plugs even when the coils test out as ok
