It's a very sturdy plate that feels more than adequate for holding my phone. The aluminum ball is a smooth and could use some texture for a better grip.

I popped the iottie phone mount off the suction cup adapter and onto this adapter

Competitiveness

It is a 17mm standard mount so i was able to swap it out for this one with no issue

I use this for my garmin 590lm motorcycle gps

Switched it over and used a spigen magnetic mount

I drive a commercial rolloff truck and its anything but a smooth ride lol but the mount has yet to move or come loose
