Lisa jewell is a master storyteller, slowly fleshing out the characters and the mysteries surrounding them. Lisa jewel is a writer with depth in her story plots and little fluff.

This has to be one of my favorite books. Really nicely written novel. Unforgettable novel well written.

The book builds slowly but in the best way. You want to read and read on - flipping the pages to see how it all plays out. I am a reader who often abandons books half way through.



Cons

Another bad book by lisa jewel. Lilly is a disagreeable and belligerent stereotype, yet ultimately gets to stay in england despite stupidly marrying a psychopath she barely knew. In all honesty lily was the only person i felt at all invested in.

    In the end there wasn’t enough character development with alice or lilly and the wrap up of the story came too quickly and was a definite let down

    I listened to this one on an audiobook and i had to put the speed up faster midway through because i couldn’t wait to find out more the narrator wasn’t going quick enough 😂 alice was truly my favorite character lilly my least favorite
