John ortberg is an incredible writer with a gift for renewing your spirit to know god and be closer to him. Ortberg's writing always encourages and enlightens me and this book was no exception. We are made for intimacy, ortberg writes.

Intimacy is a big part of that equation for a full, rich, godly life. The difference between a good listener and an intimate listener is the golden rule of intimacy.

John has a quirky sense of humor which is like putting a big heaping tablespoon of sugar on the medicine. John teaches around the world at conferences and churches.

Cons

The title is deceiving. This is a book on intimacy with no practical ways of getting along with those who are different from you. Ortberg quotes dallas willard and others and repeats a lot from his past books.
