Pros & Cons
Pros
The nostalgia is real. This feels just as good as the orginal. The problem i have with many of the newer controllers is they are way too light.
I love this controller so much now i just keep it plugged in all the time. Works very smoothly, without problems. But i personally like it plus its cord is longer.
The * feel good. Not clicky or too mushy. The * are slightly mushier and slightly harder to press than the stock nintendo controller.
But it's leap years beyond any other third party pad that i've ever used. Goes back to the original lifespan of the system. If you're doing a console restoration or want to have a good controller, this is it.
Cons
Another stiff as oblivion d-pad.

Quality
Works right out of the box with the retron 5
Combined it with the extension cords so my 5 year old is in less danger of pulling the cord out

The drawback of buying a wireless controller is that when the proprietary battery stops charging in a few years you wont be able to replace it
